Practical answers about the QR labels, registration, the five-year service period, privacy, pricing and where to buy, including what FindMyClubs cannot do.

The product

What is FindMyClubs?

FindMyClubs is a QR-code-based identification and return assistance system for golf clubs and golf equipment. It enables people who find registered equipment to contact the owner directly or through an online notification system. It is not a GPS tracking service.

What is in a standard FindMyClubs set?

17 QR identification labels: 14 small labels for golf clubs and 3 larger labels for golf bags, trolleys or other equipment.

The set includes 5 years of FindMyClubs service, with online equipment registration, finder contact options and notification functions during that period.

What equipment can I label?

Use the small labels for your golf clubs. Use the larger labels to identify your rangefinder, golf bag, trolley and other suitable golf equipment.

How durable are the labels?

The labels are designed for everyday use on golf equipment and exposure to typical golf-course conditions.

Does FindMyClubs work in other countries?

Yes. FindMyClubs can be used wherever the finder has a compatible smartphone and internet access.

Registration and set-up

How do I register my labels?

Create a FindMyClubs account, confirm your e-mail address and sign in. Then add each item in your account and link it to its label by scanning the QR code or entering the identification code printed below it.

Scanning one of your new labels with your phone is a quick way to start: it takes you to the registration page.

Where should I attach the labels?

Place one small label on each club, just below the grip. Place the larger labels on a clearly visible outer surface of your bag, trolley or other equipment.

Do I need to register every label?

Yes. Each label has its own QR code and identification code. A finder can only reach you through a label that is registered to an item in your account; an unregistered label shows the finder that it has not been activated yet.

When does the five-year service period start?

The period starts when the first label from the package is registered. All labels in that package share the same service period.

Finding a club

I found a club with a FindMyClubs label. What should I do?

Scan the QR code with your smartphone, or use the “Found a Club?” button on this website to enter the identification code printed below it. Depending on the owner’s privacy settings, you will see the contact details they chose to share or can send them a message through FindMyClubs. You and the owner then agree how the equipment gets back.

Does the finder need an app or an account?

No. FindMyClubs works through a web browser on a compatible internet-connected smartphone. No special app or account is required for the finder.

What if the QR code cannot be scanned?

Enter the identification code printed below the QR code on the FindMyClubs website. It leads to the same page as scanning.

Privacy

Do I have to make my contact details public?

No. Owners can use FindMyClubs’ private notification option without publicly displaying their personal contact information to finders.

What does a finder see when they scan my label?

Only the details you have chosen to show in your privacy settings. If you do not show an e-mail address, phone number or postal address, the finder can send you a message through FindMyClubs instead, and you receive it by e-mail.

Read the privacy policy

Can I change my privacy settings later?

Yes. You can change which details are visible to finders in your account at any time.
